Well, of COURSE it would be a shock to not see the Galapagos on the list, especially with consideration of Darwin's study of the Galapagos finches. I recently just went to the Galapagos with a discount deal from galapagos-inc.com, and it was such a wonderful experience to see an array of species--not just birds, but also other reptiles, etc. It's one of my favorite travel hotspot destinations! Is a 3 mile stretch of the Colorado river that Bird watchers flock to. I go for the fishing and discover new adventures on each visit. Barefoot campground offers primative and covered RV spots. No i don't work for them just an admirer of the way tey preserve nature for future generations. Question..Are there more extinct species of birds than recorded existing species? Just curious!
