That photo at Kootenai Falls is insane! I’ve white-water rafted twice in BC and had a blast. I’ll be bookmarking this and whenever I get to Montana I’m all over it! Thanks for the great info.

Absolutely terrific article – very knowledgeable and well-written, with terrific photographs too.

I enjoy kayaking and canoeing, but my real passion is fishing. It’s worth emphasizing that Montana offers some of the best trout fishing in the entire world. You could spend a lifetime exploring the rivers of Montana with a fly-rod.

Great writing, Brian, I’m looking forward to more.

The farthest north I’ve gotten to paddle is Wyoming. This makes me want to get up to Montana so bad.
