I can understand the mixed feelings! It’s like glass half full half empty. Depends on your frame of mind I guess, but I can empathize with both sides of it.

The recently vacated Royal Palace in Kathmandu is a major local tourist attraction now. I think it’s a great development.

Hal- Fantastic article. Do you know if reopening the palace was an Iraqi initiative/decision? And I’d love to know what local media had to say about its opening. I suppose, as a historical artifact, the palace is worth preserving and opening up. On the other hand, that history is so fresh and recent, I can see how it might offend and even hurt people.
