The Annapurna Sanctuary route is one of The 5 Best Treks in Nepal. Matt Scott takes us along for the journey, through the lens.
Trekking towards mountains

1. The ten-day trek begins in the cloud forest before heading into the high mountains.

2. With no road access, all goods for the lodgings on route must be carried up by porters.

4. Locals, who mostly survive on farming or tourism, share the trail with trekkers.

Hiking in the valley

5. With three days of the walk mostly following a valley route, it’s not as hard going as you might expect.
