I'm Irish so I agree with what's said here; Galway is what every visitor to the country should see! For a more off the beaten track look at true Irish culture, have a look <a href="http://www.irishpolyglot.com/travel/a-week-in-the-gaeltacht-in-gleann-cholm-cille/en/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">this video</a> I made about visiting a village in Donegal. I'm not personally a big fan of Dublin, so I suggest people spend as little time as possible there if their stay in Ireland is brief. Instead of hostels, why not try some random B&B and stay with a true Irish family for a pretty good price? There's plenty of them to go around!! Excellent article! I attended back in '99 and it was incredible. Huge metal dragons wheeling through the streets blowing fire.
