It's really lost something in the past five years though. So many people have descended on it that no matter how much you've paid for a badge or a wristband (hundreds) it is often difficult to get into shows. The great thing about it, though, is that I almost always find one band that I've never heard of before who blows me away. It's difficult to understate what a party this event is - hipster magazines start their events at noon and the last bands don't go on until 2 or 3am. There were a couple of years there where Vice threw parties straight out of Beastie Boys "Fight For Your Right To Party" video.
