Interesting and good to know. I agree with the description of every city I've been too. To a guy from Albany, New York, the sheer amount of interesting single women in New York City is just mindblowing. Anyone with any game whatsoever will, at the very least, experience a fun amount of flirtation. Anyway, my experience with Rio is that it fits Sascha's description of Paris more than anything else- you won't necessarily get stabbed, but your eyes will be assaulted with affectionate couples and an aura of love, relationships, and drama seems to permeate the place. If I ever return to that country, I'd really like to check out Sao Paulo, because I hear it's very different in that sense.

Being from the Bay Area and having lived in Shanghai, I have to say Shanghai is hands down the better of the two for dates. When I was living in Shanghai I had a different boyfriend from a different country every week. good times

We were kicking it on the streets of Chile tonight, and there were some fine people of both genders… get thee to the Bellavista neighborhood. It's Tuesday night and the bar Constitucion 61 was packed with a friendly, fun, good looking crowd!

Excellent article!! I learned quite a lot I have to say, I'll keep some of this in mind for future travels But I have to HIGHLY disagree with your comment about Brazil – it's clear you've never been there. Don't confuse what you see about the slums of Rio as representing the whole country. Rio is dangerous, but the rest of the country (one of the biggest countries in the world, so that's a lot of "rest") is extremely friendly and safe, certainly safer than a lot of South America. Also I found it a great place to be single – Brazilians (girls & boys) love Europeans Keep up the good articles and don't break too many hearts while your at it!!

well. There is a large group of Slovenians that kick it in and around Dali in Yunnan Province, SW China. They seem to have good success with the Italian, French and Quebecois vagabonds that pool in the eddies of Yunnan. And I hear Tokyo is great for single women — Japanese dudes have a certain coolness about them and i hear they are excellent, attentive lovers. If I were a single woman and headed to Asia, I would stick to the bigger cities (if love is what i was after). The road from Bangkok north through Chiang Mai, Luang Prabang and up into Yunnan is crawling with single men. Ivs: nice quote.
